Adi Kailash Darshan with Munsyari

After early breakfast we will leave for Gunji village, our stop for Om parvat and Adi Kailash Darshan.

Gunji is a small village in Dharchula.

En route enjoy the scenic beauty of snow capped mountains, lush green forests and rivers.

It would be a long journey however definitely you will enjoy. By evening reach Gunji village and take some rest after a long journey.

Note : if time doesn’t allow to reach Gunji at same day we will stay at Dharchula.

After breakfast, you set out from Gunji towards Nabidhang, climbing steadily into the higher Himalayan terrain. This region is the spiritual heart of the Adi Kailash journey. The first highlight is Om Parvat, a rare natural wonder where snow deposits form the sacred “ॐ” symbol on the mountain face – considered a divine blessing to witness. A short trek or drive from here takes you to Parvati Kund, a small high-altitude lake set amidst rugged mountains, believed to be associated with Goddess Parvati. Pilgrims often collect water from the kund as it is considered holy. Nearby, you also get views of Brahma Parvat, another revered peak in this mystical landscape. Many travelers spend quiet moments here in meditation or simply absorbing the energy of the surroundings. By evening, you return to your camp or accommodation, either staying at Nabidhang (if weather permits) for a closer mountain experience, or descending back to Gunji for the night.

Early morning, you visit Kalapani, the origin point of the River Kali. The location is surrounded by peaks and holds deep spiritual significance, with a temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and the famous Vyas Gufa, where it is believed sage Vyas composed parts of the Mahabharata. After paying your respects, you begin the return journey, retracing the road via Gunji and then continuing towards Munsyari. The drive is long but filled with changing landscapes – from barren rocky stretches to lush valleys again. By evening, you reach Munsyari, often called “Little Kashmir,” and settle into your hotel for a much-needed rest.

Munsyari offers a full day of sightseeing and relaxation. After breakfast, you head to the Panchachuli Peak Viewpoint, where the majestic five peaks rise dramatically against the sky – a sight that defines Munsyari. Then you explore the gushing Birthi Falls, set amidst thick greenery, and visit the small yet peaceful Nanda Devi Temple perched on a ridge. For those who enjoy short treks, the walk to Khaliya Top is a great option, offering panoramic views of the snow-clad Himalayas and lush alpine meadows. In the evening, you can explore the town, interact with locals, and shop for handwoven woolens that the region is known for. Overnight stay in Munsyari.

This morning, you leave Munsyari and begin your drive back towards the Kumaon region. On the way, you pass through Chaukori Tea Gardens, known for their lush plantations and views of the Himalayan ranges, and later stop at the ancient Baijnath Temple complex, set on the banks of the Gomti River. By evening, you reach Bhowali and proceed to Kainchi Dham Ashram, the famous spiritual retreat founded by Neem Karoli Baba. The ashram has drawn seekers from around the world, including Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg, who credited it with inspiring life-changing insights. You settle near Kainchi Dham for the night.

Begin your day with a peaceful darshan at Kainchi Dham, soaking in the spiritual calm of the temple complex. After breakfast, you depart for your return journey. The drive winds back through the beautiful Kumaon hills before eventually leading you towards Kathgodam railway station or directly to Delhi. By evening, you conclude your unforgettable journey to Adi Kailash and Om Parvat, carrying with you both divine blessings and Himalayan memories
